Is it possible this was more than just Norovirus?

Post Content

Hi, Relavant info: 32M UK, 65kg, Asthmatic, history of elevated bilirubin suspected of Gilbert’s Syndrome but unconfirmed at the moment. So a few nights ago, I felt a little fatigued and queasy while finishing work. Thought I was just a little dehydrated as the work venue was very hot. While driving home though I suddenly felt extremely light headed. Managed to park up in a lay-by. Immediately my hands began cramping. seriously bad pins and needles, I could barely use them. My chest was extremely tight as if someone had it in a vice. It was extremely painful, This went on for what felt like an age. It was so bad I had to call an ambulance. The whole time going through this I felt like I needed to take a dump. Eventually the pins and needles slowly reduced and my chest loosened off. I then rather embarrassingly had to defecate at the road side. And then shortly after projectile vomited at the road side as well. After this my symptoms returned to a more manageable state to which I decided to cancel the ambulance and my partner who drove to meet me, followed me home. I then spent the next 12 hours basically going back and forth to loo with what I would describe as more typical Norovirus symptoms. What I don’t understand is the onset? Sure my understanding is Norovirus can come on quick but that felt like something more? I’v had the virus before but I’ve never felt like that. One of the worst feelings I’ve ever experienced. Has anyone ever heard of Norovirus doing that to a person? I’d like to stress that I’m not very good a writing down my experiences to paper but this was one of the most unpleasant things I’ve ever experienced so hopefully that comes across.
