Small lump on leg

32M - I've got this small lump/spot on the the side of my calf which I've had for years. Years ago my dad said he thought it was just a fat lump? whatever that is. But lately it's been itching and scabbing over as if it's opened up? It's not growing or anything but it's concerning me.
