Scheduled for a cystoscopy and am panicked because it lists a procedure I didn’t know I was having

31F, 5’5”, 115 lbs, no smoking etc, with recurrent UTIs for 8 months. This is a new problem and my long time PT does not think the UTIs have anything to do with bladder emptying. I’m on propranolol, gabapentin, mirtazapine, and naltrexone. I’m scheduled for a cystoscopy on Monday (it was explained to me as if this was a shot in the dark, likely won’t reveal anything, but can’t hurt to look since I’ve never had one). I was checking the instructions for preparing, where to show up, etc., and I noticed it lists “urethral stricture dilation” in addition to the cystoscopy in mychart. Is this just a part of all routine cystoscopies or listed just in case they go in and decide it’s necessary? I was never informed they would be doing anything other than looking, and have never even been told I have a stricture, let alone it needed to be treated. I will be sedated so they won’t be discussing or asking during the procedure itself. I already felt anxious about this, but now I’m terrified as my biggest fear is coercion in medical settings. I know this doesn’t sound like a procedure that’s a big deal, but it’s more so not being informed about it or allowed to make my own decision. Is this just standard and I’m being crazy?
