Hello is it appendicitis or trapped gas

Hello, how do you know if your symptoms is trapped only or on its way to appendicitis? On feb 11 every 2 hr someone's stomach was aching when he was seated at work and next morning at 2am he had sharp pain at right stomach when he was sleeping on my right. He swapped to his left and no more pain since? no more pain as of this moment ever since that 2am also he had ability to have solid stool that sinks to the toilet floor but he wasnt able to as easily release it as normal. and last week before the incident he had fever for 1 day and a half and watery stool for a week but no stomach pain during that ordeal i am around 30 years old, male. 5'7 feet in height and around 220 pounds never had this problem before with regards to pain or week long watery stool. first time both happened this mo th in all my life. usual watery stoola before was only a day for me.
