Since my insurance stopped covering my Zepbound I just thought I'd check in here and let you all know what's changed for me. it's been about a month since I had my last shot. I have gained back 5 lbs. The hunger and food noise is unmanageable. I also have health issues (autoimmune) that cause inflammation and chronic constant pain. The shot miraculously brought inflammation levels down to the point I was able to work for the first time since 2017. I haven't been able to work now for about 2 weeks. Menopause symptoms were greatly reduced by the shot. My partner says I'm short tempered and mean now. And I have serious GI issues that were greatly helped by the Zep. I had had it prescribed for sleep apnea which suddenly ins said it wasn't "bad enough" now. My snoring has returned (which I'm sure affects my oxygen levels). I do plan on appealing but I don't really expect to win this one - but if I do, I'll celebrate. I just really did not expect that the GLP1 would have so many beneficial health side effects that would be so desirable and made me feel "normal". I was on it for about 8 months, just long enough to get halfway to goal weight. yes I am aware of my options, almost all of them I cannot afford. I'm not looking for advice, just letting you all know what happened to me and how fragile getting this miracle drug covered by insurance can be. Apparently they don't think twice about yanking it away from someone. So please be aware everyone esp if you cannot afford to self pay and hopefully set up a situation you can use as a backup in case this happens to you too. If anyone has advice about appealing ins, please do let me know. I so enjoyed my time in this group and reading everyone's success stories that still give me great hope. Keep up the good work everyone and I wish you all the very very best.
