1-Year Update - GLP-1 Journey: From 180 lbs to Long-Term Maintenance

Post Content

Hi everyone! I wanted to share a one-year maintenance update since these posts helped me so much when I was getting close to this phase. I started my GLP-1 journey at 180 lbs and reached 125 lbs in February 2025, which is when I officially began maintenance. As of today, it’s been one full year in maintenance, and I’m currently 124.4 lbs. I was on Zepbound and moved to Mounjaro (CVS Caremark fiasco) and gradually tapered by spacing my shots out to every 12 days, and toward the end every 15 days. I officially stopped taking Mounjaro on 12/1/25, at which point I was 113 lbs. Since then, my weight has naturally settled back into a range that feels healthy and sustainable for me. I plan to return to every 15 days as needed and adjust based on how my body responds. This past year has really shown me that maintenance isn’t about freezing the scale at one number it’s about consistency, habits, and trusting your body. I’ve focused on balanced meals, movement I enjoy, and not spiraling over normal fluctuations. Mentally, maintenance has been just as challenging as weight loss, but also incredibly empowering. For anyone approaching maintenance or thinking about spacing out or coming off GLP-1s: go slow, be patient, and prioritize sustainability over perfection. It *is* possible to maintain long-term. Happy to answer questions or hear how others are navigating maintenance 💛
