Dealing with appetite issues on Adderall

Hi there - I will talk to my psychiatrist about this, but I want to just get advice from folks with years of experience. I recently was diagnosed with ADHD and started on generic Adderall XR, worked my way up to 15mg which works for me. Only problem is that it completely eliminates my appetite when on it, but doesn’t work whatsoever if I eat before taking it. This puts me in a catch-22 of being chronically malnourished, and because of that, irritable, depressed, tired, etc. I hate that the tradeoff is eating enough or being able to function in my day-to-day. Any advice on dealing with this?
