How did you realize you wanted to start hrt because you were trans vs just curious?

Pretty much just the title. I’ve been questioning my gender identity for a while, and have even spent a fair amount of time researching hrt. I’m just having a hard time determining if hrt interests me because I’m trans, or if I’m just curious wha being on a different sex hormone is like. People have mentioned the button to me before, and I don’t know if I would press it (if it was permanent), however if I could have a second “save file” in life, like in a video game, I would absolutely take hrt in my second life.
