[acne] chin/mouth acne help
Post Content
I’m losing my mind over chin/mouth breakouts 😅 It’s mostly around my chin/near my mouth, and I get at least one painful “ball under the skin” type pimple that hurts to touch. It’s worst around my period, but I still break out randomly outside of it too. I also have a bit of scarring that I’m trying to figure out as well any recommendations for that would be great too! I’m trying to figure out if this is: hormonal acne, perioral dermatitis, or a reaction/irritation from toothpaste? I use Sensodyne (it’s SLS-free but it has fluoride). I don’t get burning/flaking, it’s more like actual zits. Routine: LRP hydrating gentle cleanser, fragrance-free Hydro Boost moisturizer, Garnier micellar water for makeup (then rinse/cleanse). I’m kind of a chicken when it comes to starting new products on my face as I’m scared of how it’ll react. If you’ve dealt with something similar, what ended up being the cause for you? Any toothpaste ingredients that triggered it (fluoride, flavorings, etc.)? TLDR: chin mouth acne and scarring help. Maybe could be hormonal?
