Serious Nerve Issue + Muscle Atrophy PLEASE HELP

Post Content

Hi, I’m looking for advice about a long-standing issue with my lower back and left leg. I’ll try to summarize everything clearly. Just to clarify I have told chat gpt everything over the past 1.5 years so I used it a bit to help include everything please ask any questions I can provide specifics even my MRI images if someone cares enough I have written this myself it took a very long time lol 17Y MALE i have had right-sided back and leg pain for about 2 years, likely linked to prior coccyx trauma. Pain often shoots from my glutes down my right leg, sometimes along what feels like the sciatic nerve. Pain is aggravated by running, fartlek intervals, prolonged sitting, or heavy exercise, walking Pain never goes away I wake up in the morning and within 10 minutes it’s there until the end of the day MRI scans, nerve conduction studies , and other imaging (both NHS and private) have all come back normal, yet the pain continues. When lying down or sitting, my body tends to lean to the right — legs aren’t straight, which may be contributing to issues. Muscle Issues: I have muscle atrophy in my left leg, noticeable because my hand sinks deeper into the , doctors say my right leg is stronger significantly ( even though I’m left handed and left footed )muscle compared to the right. Likely caused by a combination of nerve irritation, disuse, and muscle imbalance over time. Left leg muscles are weaker and less engaged during exercise, making symmetry difficult. Symptoms: Pain: right-sided lower back/glute/leg, sometimes radiating down the leg. ( sometimes can also be similar pain left leg maybe once a week however PAIN IS ONLY EVER ON ONE OF MY LEGS/SIDES) Muscle imbalance: visible difference in left vs. right leg muscle bulk. Tingling Posture: leaning to one side, asymmetry when lying or sitting. Attempts at management: I’ve tried stretching and strengthening exercises for over a year, but they haven’t solved the problem. PHYSIO FOR 1 year Running and high-intensity exercise flare the pain. Posture correction and gentle nerve glides help a little but don’t fix it. Healthcare experiences: I have been through both NHS and private healthcare, with multiple scans, MRIs, and nerve conduction studies. 3 MRIS lumbar + pelvis (twice) So far, no one has been able to identify a cause. This situation is destroying my quality of life, affecting exercise, social life, and mental health.significantly effecting my mental health
