Should I take levothyroxine for subclinical hypothyroidism?

I have a TSH OF 4.8 and my doctor prescribed me 25 mcg of levothyroxine because i’m symptomatic (fatigue, headaches, brain fog). I’m not sure why I’m nervous to start the medication. I’ve heard some people feel worse after starting meds and truthfully I‘m nervous that once I start taking them my body will depend on the meds or create new issues. I’d love to hear any personal advice or experiences. Thank you.
