[Hair Removal]Struggling with hair removal due to skin reactions, need advice

Post Content

Hi everyone, I’m hoping to get some advice because most hair removal methods I’ve tried just haven’t worked well for me. Waxing consistently gives me hives, which is not only uncomfortable but stressful to deal with, using an epilator tends to trigger folliculitis that leaves my skin irritated for days, and hair removal creams usually cause ingrown hairs and more inflammation. It feels like every option ends up backfiring, and I’m stuck trying to choose between visible hair and painful skin reactions. I just haven’t been able to find a method that’s both effective and gentle. Because of these reactions, I’ve started looking into IPL devices and have been researching several brands, Braun, Ulike, Philips...but I’m not sure whether IPL is the best option for me or if there are other approaches I might be overlooking. My main concern right now is upper lip hair, and since the skin in that area is sensitive, I’m a bit worried about irritation and safety. If anyone has experience dealing with similar skin reactions or has tried IPL or other methods for facial hair, I’d really appreciate any advice or insight. Thank.
