Starting tretinoin 0.025% with Azeleic acid?

Post Content

Hello, I recently started tretinoin 0.025% gel version (a week ago) starting at every 2 days and now trying to work up to every other day (so 3 times a week, roughly). I don't use the sandwich method, I apply tret on dry clean skin. I have been using Azeleic Acid 15% cream for about 1.5 months before starting tret in the PM and recently added to AM. I'm wondering if I should keep this routine or tone down the azeleic acid? The Azeleic acid has been really helpful for my active acne and mild rosacea. I'm using tret primarily for anti-aging, improve PIH, and prevent acne. I haven't experienced any stinging from tret, just mild peeling on my forehead and overall my skin feels more dry. In the past I've had combination skin leaning oil. But the last week my skin feel like it really needs moisture, so I have been using a thicker creme. Maybe this is because of the tret? Here is my current routine: AM \- Splash face with water. Let dry. \- Azeleic acid 15% creme \- CeraVe moizurizer creme in the tub \- LRP Oil control sunscreen (I live in a humid, tropical climate with a high UV index so I can't use gentle Korean brands. I need a lot of protection) PM \- CeraVe hydrating cleaning bar \- Rotate between Azeleic acid 15% and Tretinoin 0.025% gel \- CeraVe moizurizer creme in the tub OR AXIS-Y Panthenol 10 skin smoothing shield cream
