Long period self help tips please
Post Content
For years now my periods have been pretty regular and predictable. 3-5 days bleeding, some cramps but nothing physically unbearable. The thing is for 2-3 days I'm so fatigued I just pretty much stay in bed. Blooodwork shows I'm borderline anemic (runs in my family) but Dr doesn't prescribe or suggest anything. Anyway my latest period was 12 days late and has lasted over a month so far with no break. Doctors can't see me for another 2 weeks. Just wondering if anyone has any self help advice or what action you would want your doctor to take. Oh and I'm 46, no kids think I've been in perimenopause for a few years now (just cognitive symptoms). Not seen Dr about periods since I was a teen (used to be awful, had a lot of tests, nothing discovered).
