Recently went of birth control, are condoms as safe?

Hi Everyone, I recently stopped taking birth control as it was messing with my hormones (making me feel depressed and very anxious). I have a boyfriend and he has been supportive throughout the process. I recently downloaded the Flo app so I can track when I’m ovulating. I just wanted to know what I should like avoid? We are only having intercourse with a condom now but should I avoid intercourse completely when I’m ovulating? Any advise will be appreciated. Thank you!
