Are magseed MRI safe?

Post Content

Hi, A little background 39f 60kg 153cm. Take tamoxifen, had breast cancer last year. Today I went for the first follow up mammogram/ultrasound. The radiologist said that she would like to do an MRI to confirm the negative, my breast are very dense and cystic and she said she couldn't be sure due to that. When I got home I looked at the mammogram images and it looks like the magseed is still there (same place and same look as the mammogram image when it was placed). When I had the original placement for the surgery apparently my breast tissue was too dense and they could only get it like 1cm under my skin and not even close to the right place. I know there are the clips left from removing the tumour (which are also visible) and those should be MRI safe but I think because I also had a harpoon placed (also was miles from the target due to density or skill issues) the surgeon missed getting the magseed out and now I don't know if it's safe at the MRI or what I should do really. The bit of metal has the look of threaded sides like a magseed.
