Does anyone know what could’ve caused this?

I will say this is not usually a problem and has been under control for a while. I’m 15f and I have incredibly bad periods. I went to a gyno when I was about 14 and she said she had never seen a period even close to mine. I would bleed anywhere from 7-15 days heavily, I once bled through 7 layers, had clots bigger than my underwear, I’ve gotten cramps so bad I wasn’t able to move for hours, and my period would usually start a week or a week and a half after my past one. I also had to get an iron infusion because my bleeding made me borderline anemic. I do not show any signs of having a bleeding disorder, fibroids, ovarian cysts, or anything that would show on an ultra sound or in bloodwork. The girls in my family have also had pretty bad periods but none even close to this. I started birth control and have to take it for 3 months before going off of it or my periods would start up full force again. I also get break through bleeding pretty easily and missing it for a day or being even an hour off for more than 2 days can make me start it again. Recently I went to visit my brother who lives in Wisconsin and wasn’t aware that there was an hour time difference. I got bleeding after I got back and it lasted for about a week. It finished last thursday (February 5th). I got a very bad cold and my sleep schedule got messed up from Benadryl and I missed it for 2 days. My period started again and it’s almost as bad as it was before going on the pill. I’ve been having incredibly painful cramps, bleeding very heavily (thankfully its light enough that 1 pad can hold it without it spilling too much) my appetite is all over the place and my sensory issues are terrible. If anyone knows what could’ve caused my periods to be this way or just any way to help deal with this current one it would be very appreciated.
