How's living with roommates while trans for the people who do?

So i'm genderfluid and i think i'm gonna need a couple roommates if i wanna live where i plan on moving out to in order to sustain myself. i have the privilege of being able to choose who i live with, and i'd rather live with other trans or queer people. i was just wondering what it's like since a lot of the resources i've looked at are entirely from a cishet perspective and for cishet people. i'm also moving to a city that's historically been the most progressive part of my area too so i don't have to really worry about that. i'm also gonna be renting jsyk, idk if that changes anything
