Random cheek hive(s)?

Post Content

So I get random cheek hives and have since last year (I noticed they started on my cheeks specifically, typically now and again after applying Protopic to my seb derm areas). There’s no rhyme or reason - I notice they happen MORE after applying a product, but sometimes just flushing after a shower or something can cause them. They’re just itchy and feel hot and usually go away on their own after a bit, sometimes I take cetirizine if they’re super itchy. I’m not allergic to anything (to my knowledge!) so it’s difficult to figure this out. This one just popped up about 10 minutes after applying my Skinoren (20% azelaic acid), after my moisturiser. It’s mildly itchy (sort of like when a hair tickles your face) but not too bad. Anyone else get these or know how to stop them? Are they related to rosacea or is something else at play? I’m seeing my derm in a month (early March) but they pop up at least 1-2 times a month, I’m wondering whether I should be concerned or looking into MCAS or something!
