immunos - cyclosporine or methotrexate

Post Content

I had a pretty productive NHS dermatology appointment today, after two years of eczema and a pretty much consistent flare up since september + two infections i have been offered either cyclosporine or methotrexate. the doctor highlighted cyclo as a quick acting option but that requires intensive monitoring and comes with a cancer risk. she said methotrexate was longer to kick in but can be on long term if it works for you. she also said a positive of cyclo is that you can only be on it for a limited time and therefore i would be moved up to dupixent quickly. right now i am leaning towards methotrexate just because of the cancer risk and monitoring with cyclo. any success stories on immunos and recommendations for either? (pls no horror stories)
