Sewing machine accident

INFO: 21y/o female, 100lbs, no smoking history, no medications, diagnosed postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome So I'm a seamstress and fell into the inevitable fate sewing through my finger. I went to the ER, got numbing, and got everything taken out no problem. This was on Tuesday, the numbing shots in my nuckle honestly hurt a lot worse than the needle through my finger. Even now there is no pain in my finger tip, just the lingering soreness in my nuckle. I was cleared to go home but I can see a little piece of thread still left in my finger. Should I be concerned about this? It's honestly fairly surface level in the grand scheme of things so I think it will work itself out eventually. If the needle wasn't bent at a 90° angle in my finger I honestly would have just pulled it out myself. I think I'd rather just have the thread live in my finger than have to do those numbing shots again. 😵💫
