Yellow stool on Accutane

Post Content

This is very TMI, so please don’t read if you’re grossed out by some things. I’ve been on Accutane for only 16 days, 10mg. For some context, I had slight heightened bilirubin (26 to be exact) and my doctor suspected I have Gilbert’s Syndrome and therefore I was prescribed Accutane. I’m supposed to get bumped up to 20mg soon but I am starting to worry because shortly after I started Accutane I got persistent gastritis (I have a history of it). I was prescribed a “teva pantoprazole magnesium” to help with the pain and every since I started taking it my stool has been pretty brown ish yellow (leaning more yellow), constipation, no residue on the toilet paper and sometimes even a mix of brown and yellow all together. I have stopped the PPI days ago and I’m still consistently having pretty yellow stools along with constipation. I’m very scared to tell my doctor because I don’t want to be taken off of the medicine, so I’m posting on here before hand to see if anyone has experienced the same thing. To add, I don’t have any more symptoms that point to anything bad with my liver like dark yellow urine, yellowing of the skin and eyes, clay coloured stool etc. thank you everyone!
