IR v XR question
Post Content
Hi all! I was recently diagnosed with ADHD and started to take medication about a month ago. I've been on 10 mg IR and it has helped me a ton. The doctor I talked to wanted to start me on IR for school purposes (I'm a senior in college) but I have honestly noticed way more benefits in my real life than academic life. So I'm debating seeing if I can switch to XR so I only have to take one pill in the morning (I'm horrible at remembering to take the afternoon dose of Ir plus I'm out a lot and don't remember to bring it with me) and so the effects will last throughout the day. Also my life isn't just in school v out of school anymore, as I am a part time student now and will be graduating soon. Medication has helped me in so many ways and I'm starting to feel like a functioning adult so I want to do what will give me the most benefit. So sorry for taking long to get to my question, but those of you who have been on IR and XR medication, did you notice any difference between them? Or anything I should know before asking to switch?
