NHS won’t fund hair removal

Post Content

I live in England, and I found something out that genuinely has really frustrated me in polite terms. So… I was looking into ways to get rid of body hair, and the best result I found was Electrolysis, I figured because I’m a pretty severe case and I have a baby so I’m usually priority for treatments, I’ll have a pretty good chance of looking into the NHS paying for it So I looked but nope! They don’t provide electrolysis for PCOS, a very serious, very real, confidence crushing condition for women globally But trans people however, get free sessions of electrolysis because that’s apparently necessary and not cosmetic… I’m sorry? So women who have body hair is cosmetic and we all just want to be “pretty” whereas men wanting to be women get handed lifetime fixing hair removal because it’s very serious and very important… I’m trying not to swear but are you serious?
