Slow start on 5mg, did things pick up for you at 7.5mg?

Post Content

Hi everyone! I’ve been on Zepbound since late December and am looking for some perspective as I prepare to move up to 7.5mg next week. My progress so far, SW was 170 lbs; CW 162 lbs ~8lb loss. I started at 2.5mg for 4 weeks, it was a great start, lost all 8 lbs here with minimal side effects (Likely water weight). I'm currently on 5.0mg and on my last dose. Weight loss has stalled completely at this dose. I'm currently getting my zepbound via Ro and they are bumping me to 7.5mg starting after this dose. For context, I’m 35F 5'4" and previously lost 30 lbs naturally (took about two years to lose) but regained it during a high stress period. I also have ADHD, and "emotional eating" has historically been my biggest hurdle, specifically late night snacking especially when my Adderall wears off. Even though the scale isn't moving on 5mg, the "food noise" is still gone! Zepbound has been a game-changer for my cravings and snacking habits. I’m back to walking regularly and tightening up my diet, but the plateau is a bit discouraging. My Question for those who had a slow start or stalled on 5mg, did you see a significant change once you hit 7.5mg or higher? Are there specific lifestyle adjustments (protein goals, hydration, etc.) that helped you "break" a stall during the early months? Any fellow ADHDers have tips for managing the transition when meds wear off in the evening? I’d love to hear your stories or any recommendations you have!
