Wegovy Savings offer non matched card holder ID error solution

Posting this here in the hopes it saves someone else from a game of phone tag with their pharmacy and Novo. TLDR: if you are using the Wegovy savings offer, your prescription fill date can not be before your cost savings coupon was generated, if your pharmacist gets this error, have them change the fill date to the day of or any date after you generated your Wegovy coupon My husband and I are both on Wegovy, I have been on for about 6 months now and he’s just starting this month. Our insurance no longer covers GLP-1s so we’re both using the cost savings offer. I generated my coupon a few weeks ago before my prescription was filled. I went to the pharmacy (we use Walmart pharmacy), they entered all the numbers on the card, everything goes smoothly and I paid $199 no problem. My husband spoke with his doctor last week, doctor agreed to prescribe wegovy and sent in the prescription which was filled that same day. He didn’t go to the Wegovy website to get his coupon until the day he was planning to pick up the prescription, about 5 days after it was filled. Pharmacist entered all the numbers on the cost savings card that was emailed to him and got an error that said “non matched card holder ID, member card ID not found”. We were baffled thinking it had something to do with insurance but we’re on the same exact insurance. After a bunch of calls with the pharmacist we finally got in contact with Novo and they sorted it out. So moral of the story- if you get this error, ask your pharmacist to change the fill date to the current date and it should solve the issue.
