How’s your sex life?

I am 40 and this month, I’ve been experiencing a longer period than usual. It’s been almost a month. I had my blood test and thank God it came back normal and waiting for my ultrasound. And two days ago, I only had spotting. I wear a panty liner now and I only had a tiny little bit brown discharge (hoping the last drop of that long period lol) Its also been almost a month since i had intimacy with my husband.. and today im so in the mood but scared to do it coz i might trigger my period again. Im not sure if its safe or not. I dont want to trigger another long period (coz my 3 weeks vacation is coming up also) and i dont know if its safe to have sex before a pelvic ultrasound either..
