Prior Auth + CVS Weight Management Program!
Post Content
First time poster!! I have finally decided to try Wegovy. I went to my doctor and they submitted a PA, but didn't fill it out correctly (very frustrating) so of course was denied. But after doing research I am seeing that in order to get Wegovy through MHBP (Aetna) you need to be part of CVS weight management program. I have a meeting scheduled for mid March. My question is should I have my doctor fix the PA now or wait until I am fully enrolled in the weight management program? I'm so confused on how this all works!! I have also been actively been trying to lose weight for years with programs like WW, zoom, reducing calories, and exercise but have had no luck. HELLO food noise! So wondering if that counts as the 6 months of management or if I need to do a full 6 months with CVS BEFORE starting Wegovy? Hopefully that all makes sense! Thank you!!
