Has anyone taken too low of a dose of propranolol and still had shaky hands/voice during a presentation?

Post Content

Hi everyone, I have an upcoming presentation and I’m planning to take propranolol for performance anxiety. I’ve experimented with it a few times these past couple of days at a very low dose just to see if I would feel bad or have any side effects. For context: I also take Adderall. I’ve tried the low-dose propranolol + Adderall combo about three times while practicing at home. I do feel calm and my heart doesn’t race. But the gist is that I haven’t tried it during any actual fight-or-flight situation or real presentation setting — just alone at my house, which obviously isn’t when my symptoms usually kick in. My main concern is this: Has anyone taken what turned out to be too low of a dose and still experienced physical symptoms like shaky hands or a shaky voice during an actual presentation? Does even a low dose typically block those physical symptoms completely, or can they still break through in a high-stress situation? Not looking for medical advice — just personal experiences so I know what to expect. Thanks!
