Should I consult for my gums after Strep diagnosis
Post Content
33F, 160cm, 73kg - smoked regularly for about 20years but less so nowadays. diagnosed for strep on Feb 7, on Penicillin Hello, Back on Feb 1st I started having a sore throat which I attributed to having a couple of cigarettes 2 days prior. It did not go away though and I started having oral sores on Feb 5th when I took a closer look inside my mouth. Got diagnosed with Strep on Feb 7th and started Penicillin immediately. While the throat pain and fever subsided, my gums got more sensible and sores keep developing. Lymph nodes are also still swollen. I have odd working hours so seeing a dentist is difficult, should I go to the ER or should the antibiotics take care of this eventually? I do salt water and peroxide mouth washes multiple times a day on top of the excruciating flossing and brushing. https://imgur.com/a/CfKnJ0B
