Bad cramping + yellow loose stool for several days could this be food intolerance or stress?

Post Content

(F21) I guess I’ll start from the very beginning.. January 26th I was shoveling snow in way below zero weather, going in and out of a warm truck, bundled up well, and I noticed a pain in the middle of my chest. It scared me so I stopped shoveling and sat in the truck the rest of the day. I have a really bad habit of googling and checking my symptoms and I spiraled into thinking it was a heart attack or a blood clot on my right lung. The chest pain seemed to radiate into my shoulders and up my neck and would switch from left to right, and I was stuck in that anxiety loop hole for about two weeks. Then on February 9th I made tacos and drank a cup of 2% milk (I hadn’t had milk in about a month prior to that cup) and about 1–2 hours later I had sudden yellow liquid diarrhea and stomach cramps around 5/10. The next morning I woke up and had to go again and the pain became unbearable, like 10/10, especially in the lower right side of my abdomen it hurt so bad I had to jump off the toilet and hunch over. My bf wanted to take me to the urgent care.. I’ve had pains like that before like lower belly feeling heavy shooting pain up my bum, I wanna say it’s maybe IBS, again I’ve never been diagnosed. I didn't go to urgent care but I ended up laying down on the floor with a heating pad curled on my left side and after about 30 minutes of sleep it improved a lot. Since then the pain has gradually gotten better, but I’ve had several days of yellow loose diarrhea (more mushy/liquid) and now I’m overthinking that it means something serious is wrong with my stomach. I’ve been eating bland foods like bread, rice cakes, banana, soup, drinking pedialyte, and small amounts of cottage cheese. Sometimes after I eat I feel the urge to go but nothing comes out. I’ve never really been diagnosed with anything except anxiety when I was younger, and I’m starting to realize my anxiety especially health anxiety might be playing a big role in how I react to symptoms. Growing up mental health wasn’t really talked about, I was homeschooled from 8th–12th grade, and I’ve struggled with panic and nausea when trying to get a job in person, though I can work with my boyfriend doing landscaping and snow removal without those symptoms. I plan on finding a primary care doctor, get bloodwork and a physical, and finally talk honestly about my anxiety, since I haven’t been to the doctors since 2021, but in the meantime I wanted to ask what this pattern sounds like and if yellow diarrhea for several days after severe cramping is something urgent or more likely something like irritation, food intolerance, or stress.
