Estrogel question

I started on the Estrogel 10 days ago, 1 pump daily. I knew this wasn’t enough for me being I was in the highest patch a before and then 2mg pill. Anyway I message my dr today asking to go up to 2 pumps. I messaged back that yes that’s what I want. Now waiting to hear back. Ans because I am impatient I want to know, when you go up in a pump, does the Dr have to rewrite the prescription? Because my prescription and pump is only enough for 1 pump for 30 days.
