Second time on vestura.. horrible cystic acne, anyone else experience this?
Post Content
I had been on vestura for about 2 years from 2023-2025. I took an 8ish month break, and then restarted this past December. It has now been about 8 weeks on the pill. In my first course of the pill, I took it for cystic hormonal acne and horrible period cramps, so I would skip the placebo. Obviously it was a while ago but I remember starting and feeling at the time that the pill made my skin glow and cleared it up very quickly. That’s not to say I didn’t get the occasional cyst but it was great, no side effects. Now since restarting I expected the same outcome, but I have been having a horrible flare of hormonal acne with multiple deep cysts appearing every one to two weeks! And when those finally heal, new ones appear! It is extremely frustrating. Has anyone else had such an experience? Did your skin ever stabilize? I am weary of changing pills as I never had any weight or mood side effects on this, I feel I got lucky first try. But I’m getting to the point where it’s just too painful and ruining my self esteem.
