Diagnostic Laparoscopy Recovery Advice

Post Content

I have a diagnostic laparoscopy scheduled for next month. My surgeon says I will only need one to two days to recover, but I'm not sure if I will need more time or not, especially based on some of the experiences shared here. What should I expect for my recovery? Should I have my mom travel down to help me for the few days after? She is also doing a hysteroscopy and endometrial biopsy during the diagnostic surgery. I will be in trendelenburg and will have my abdomen inflated with gas to see how I handle surgery in preparation for actual surgery. I know that doctors often downplay the pain and recovery that comes with endo, so I wanted to check what your experiences have been and what I can plan for my recovery.
