IUD for PCOS

Hi everyone, I have recently been diagnosed with PCOS(F 21). I have been on a birth control pill since I was about 16, and went off of it this past year. Going off of it seemed to have triggered my PCOS and caused weight gain, acne, mood swings, etc. When I was diagnosed about two months ago I was put on Metformin 1500mg and birth control pill(Nikki). I have also been taking vitamin B12 and Myo Insotol. I feel that everything else has been helping/working, but the birth control has unfortunately made my mood and anxiety unbearable. I also feel that it is inhibiting me from losing weight. I cannot get past 8 pounds lost. So, my main options right now is going off birth control all together or getting an IUD. I am unsure if IUDs are okay for PCOS or helpful at all. I am not sexually active but may be soon, but I have an Oura ring and ovulation tests and don’t feel I need birth control as I am diligent otherwise. I would only do another form of birth control because I am scared to get off it and trigger my PCOS again. Has anyone had a similar experience or had an IUD with PCOS and recommend or not?
