Fluctuating thyroid levels

Post Content

Hi 👋🏼 27F. Diagnosis include ADHD, GAD, insomnia, PTSD. I’m prescribed Effexor 150mg/day (since 2016) , trazodone 75mg/night (\~2014), adderall 15mg 2x/day (2024) Long story short I was misdiagnosed as bipolar II & started on lithium at 13. After tapering off lithium last year under my psychiatrist order, she wanted thyroid blood tests bc I took it for so long. I regularly got my TSH checked which was always normal throughout the years but they never checked my T3/T4. Since March of last year, my TSH has stayed normal but first my T4 was elevated & now my T3 is. I don’t know whether I should be concerned March - T4: 12.5 (ref range 4.9-10.6) June - T4: 12 (been off lithium over a month) July - Thyroid ultrasound showed: thyroid parenchyma enlarged August - T4: 9.8, normal thought that it just leveled itself out. November - my doctor only checked my TSH even tho I asked for T3/T4 too 😐 February 2026 - T3: 168 (69-154), T4/TSH normal I’ve had a TPO & ATG tested both were normal. I don’t take anything with biotin. Around July-August of last year my appetite started to decrease. In June I was 186lbs & I’m 5’4”. In November when I saw my PCP last it was a becoming an issue & I weighed 177. I have been weighing myself every now & then. The other day when I remembered I was going to the doctors & stepped on the scale because my appetite is almost nonexistent. I weighed 162. Nothing sounds good, tastes good. Food is not enjoyable. My stomach is hungry but my mouth is not to the point where sometimes I gag if I try to eat something & it’s just not.. right? Not what I wanted, doesn’t taste how I want it or how it should I literally don’t know anymore. The more I explain it I feel like I’m just crazy. I don’t know if my lack of appetite is even correlated or not.
