Any way to request vials from insurance?

I was self pay for a few months and on vials. I switched insurance in Jan and after a month of back and forth, FINALLY got my PA approved. I just did my second injection pen. I hate it. ☹️ I want vials. I mean, I don't want vials bad enough to pay $450 instead of $0. don't get me wrong, I'm super happy that it's finally covered! but ugh. I hate them. ☹️ I know vials are the more cost effective option--has anyone been able to REQUEST them from insurance?
