Lingering symptoms after migraine
Post Content
Hey guys, I had my first status migraine, almost 9 days of excruciating head splitting and nausea, and I was finally able to break it 4 days ago. What are your lingering migraine symptoms? I’ve continued to have tired eye feeling and blurry/unfocused vision these past four days, and I am getting headaches on and off. They were improving greatly the first two days (my nose was in pain plus headache, now it’s just headache) but the last couple days it seems about the same. I get random 20-30 seconds of a pain, randomly around head not just migraine spot, mostly in the forehead, And I’ll also get low grade 1-2 pain scale dull aches for an 1-3 hours at a time. I get periods of pure bliss where there are no issues but the vision. My first neuro apt is in May, so right now it’s just my primary and he’s put me on ibuprofen for the week to “calm down the neuro inflammation” because he believes that’s what’s causing these aches. I keep getting really discouraged thinking I’m gonna be stuck with daily intermittent headaches forever after a triggered migraine episode that decided to last over a week. I had dental work, that’s what triggered it. I mainly get 2-3 migraines a year, 1-2 headaches a month that resolve with water, food, or rest. Any tips and tricks? Is this lingering headache normal after a 9 day migraine? If you have experienced this before, how long did your lingering ache and vision issues persist? Is ibuprofen the right route? I just want some hope if you have any!
