Is a delay in medication approval my doctors fault?

Hi all, I have been going through Talkiatry (yes I know) for about a year to get ADHD treatment and prescriptions. I’ve had 0 problems with my doctor, but lately I’ve been having issues with getting my meds (Vyvanse and as needed Adderall) when my default pharmacy is out. For example, this is what has occurred this past refill: Thurs, Feb 5th: Request sent into Pharmacy(CVS), Pharmacy calls and says they are out and it may be months until they get more. I call around, find my local Walgreens has them in stock. Call my doctor and have her cancel the prescription and send it to Walgreens. Cancel myself with CVS. Fri, Feb 6th: Call Walgreens to see the status, they say they have no record of the prescription(24 hours after transfer) Call Talkiatry, they say it’s still pending my doctors approval. Mon, Feb 9th: Appointment with my Doctor, she sends through the prescription. Tues,Feb 10th: Call Walgreens, they claim it’s awaiting a Prior Authorization (I’ve had a PA cleared for it, not that specific location). Message doctor Wed, Feb 11th: doctor responds, says the PA is “still in process” and suggests I go through my general care doctor. Today, Feb 12th: Visit Walgreens, who says it’s still held up in PA. Call Talkiatry right after, who says they sent it Wednesday(even though it was prescribed Monday). Call my insurance to see what the hold up was, who claims that they’ve had it accepted since yesterday and there’s no reason they won’t let me get them. Call Walgreens again, are able to fill after resubmitting the request. Is this normal? Is it really going to be quicker if I go through a general doctor? Had other issues with my vyvanse during this all too, but leaving it out for simplicity.
