Ivermectin 1% Efficacy Evidence
Post Content
I have relatively mild rosacea. I've dealt with persistent redness my entire life. I never really thought it was that bad or that I needed to treat it specifically. I'm pretty much always red. I have some particular triggers and some telangiectasias on my cheeks. I also get little papules on my forehead and cheeks. Besides the rosacea, I have sensitive, dry, and dehydrated skin and keratosis pilaris on my face. Last summer I asked my dermatologist for something to help with the papules. She prescribed 1% ivermectin cream. I've been using it as prescribed every day since August. I noticed that the papules disappeared and my redness had lessened, but didn't think the change was drastic. Then earlier this week, I had a huge redness flair, as shown in the photo. My cheeks were solid red and incredibly hot. I realized that I forgot to apply the ivermectin cream that morning due to rushing my routine. This was the first day I'd forgotten to apply it since getting the prescription. Seeing the difference from missing one day of application really reinforced how well the ivermectin has worked for me! I'm now really impressed. Pic 1 shows my face during the flare. Pic 2 shows my face on a typical day.
