Why do antihistamines make me worse?

I tried H1 antihistamines (Allegra Bilastin 20mg and Cetirizin 5mg). Especially the Cetirizin causes me to be super nervous and confused. Allegra doesn't really do anything except make me more tired. Anyone has the same?
