Any tips on getting off Vyvanse and it being somewhat bearable?

Post Content

I understand that ADHD is a chronic condition, and medication helps to manage it. For some context, I have been on Vyvanse for the last 15 years or so. I was pregnant a few months back, and the timing weirdly “worked out” that I was having an insurance issue with getting my prescription filled during the time of my pregnancy, so I was automatically forced off of it anyway. I have since miscarried and the insurance issue was fixed, so I am back to taking Vyvanse daily. But during the time I was off Vyvanse, I was sooooo tired and lethargic, to the point where I was having to take naps in my car while I was at the office in order to just make it through the day. I know that I would not be as focused when I was off of Vyvanse, but this seemed pretty extreme (definitely wasn’t this bad prior to 15 years ago when I wasn’t on Vyvanse). This was ongoing for a couple of months. Pregnancy symptoms might’ve had something to do with it too, but I think a large part of it had to do with the lack of Vyvanse. Anyhoo, my husband and I are on the baby making train again, and I am hoping to be more prepared this time. Is there **anything** recommended to at least make the extreme lethargy more bearable?? Any specific vitamins? Supplements?? Routines?? Appreciate any input!
