How long did it take you to get medication titration appointments after diagnosis?

I was diagnosed with ADHD combined type in December, but I’m still on a waiting list for my medication titration appointments. Same with any form of follow up. I honestly felt like it would be a lot quicker after diagnosis, but instead it feels like I was given some huge news about my diagnosis, then left in the dark. Was this the same for others? How did you all manage in the waiting period after finding out?
