Was overweight before starting hrt; should i be trying to lose weight now that i am on hrt?

as the post title says, i was overweight before i started hrt, around 250-260, ive been slowly losing weight little by little before i even started with an eventual goal to hit the under 200 mark. however one of the big things i see about hrt is how important it is to eat, eat healthy of course, because your body needs nutrients for growth and such. more confusingly ive seen some minor posts related to this claiming that fat transfer is less old fat being moved to new areas and more new fat being deposited into new areas and losing weight taking fat from old areas without it being re deposited there. how does this work with weight loss? should i be actively trying to lose weight or will that fuck with my transition?
