Adapalene 0.3 vs Tret 0.025?

I’ve been using adapalene 0.1 for 6-7 weeks, went to a derm that prescribed me a higher strength(0.3) and clindagel. Unfortunately the adapalene wasn’t covered, but tret 0.025 was.
