Alot of pain in shoulder after car crash, no tears, doc not sure what's wrong.

In August of last year I was t-boned while working. I had alot if pain in my shoulder (struck by side air bag). I am seeing a very well respected Doctor who works o. shoulders for several major sports teams, so I trust him i suppose. But hes done 2 MRIs. one without and one with dye to check for tears with nothing found. I've recently had Diagnoatics shots and steroids put in my shoulder with minimal effects I recently learned I guess due to my job and my age (41) there is a chance work comp may just start requesting I go on perm disability. Not sure how the process works but that's not what I want. Looking for advice how to better talk to my doctor since he has said hes baffled. So the pain...the majority is present when my elbow is bent and my forearm is placed across my chest ,abdomen. Once in that position it is nearly impossible to lift weight straight up or rotate my shoulder/forearm up and outward. The pain 10 lbs or over is id say a 4 to 5 out if 10. it is also very weak. I've tried to push through the pain and can barely move 12 lbs. I am left handed too and am stronger in my left arm. I can easily lift 20lbs effortlessly with my right. Doc seems baffled...what is this? he said my rotator cuff seems fine. the pain is mostly in my shoulder but also in bicep tricep. He's asked if it runs to my elbow and it runs down but I said it doesn't touch my elbow. MRIs have only been on my shoulder. What do I need to push for. sleeping is often hard as it hurts if I end up laying on it for more than a few min...which is the side I normally sleep on. Im getting very frustrated and concerned im going to lose my job. Bwfire anyone ask I do have an attorney, always have but havent talked with them for a month or so. Edit: pain is worse with palm down and is on the front and inside of my shoulder mostly. There is some on the outside but seems quite a bit less.
