Can somebody translate my thyroid US findings?

Post Content

COMPARISON: None at this institution TECHNIQUE: Soft tissue neck ultrasound performed, focused on the thyroid. FINDINGS: The thyroid is diffusely enlarged and heterogeneous suggesting diffuse process such as goiter or thyroiditis. No focal nodules are identified but rather the process is diffuse. Interior to the left thyroid, there is an ovoid hypoechoic nodule or node measuring 15 × 14 × 9 mm. This finding appears separate from thyroid and is suggestive of parathyroid adenoma. There is an inflammatory type nodes along right lateral mid neck labeled level 3, 17 × 9 × 4 mm. Similar appearing node is present in lett lateral low neck labeled level 4, 16 × 7x7 mm. MEASUREMENTS: Right lobe: 5.8 × 2.1 x 1.9 cm. Left lobe: 5.7 × 2.3 × 2.1 cm. IMPRESSION: 1. Diffusely enlarged and heterogeneous thyroid gland consistent with thyroiditis or other diffuse process. 2. Ovoid hypochoic nodule type structure inferior to the left thyroid. The location and appearance are suggestive of parathyroid adenoma however this also can represent a reactive lymph node given the diffuse thyroid abnormality. There are other small nodes along the mid right and low left cervical chains
