Strange darkened bruise-looking spot on my skin that appeared recently that is in fact NOT a bruise….

https://postimg.cc/gallery/c1zmG55 I am a 32F and I can’t say for sure when this darkened spot on my shoulder showed up but at the longest I’d say it’s maybe been there 4 months? My boyfriend just recently pointed it out to me. It is not tender at all like a bruise (despite looking like one) and theres no strange texture - it is undetectable to me by touch compared to the skin around it. Should I be worried about this? Is it just normal blemishing with age? Is it some sort of horrible skin cancer that I am oblivious to that will kill me overnight? My googling is all over the place and I’m not scheduled to see my dermatologist again until like 6 months from now I don’t think. I’m sure asking Reddit won’t give me the clarity I’m looking for but it’s worth a shot!
