Compounded cream to Vivelle Dot

I've been using compounded estrogen for about 6 months. I chose it, thinking I couldnt maintain a patch. At the time i felt too crazy to do it lol. At first, it was great, with symptoms going away. I still feel ok, but not as great as others seem on HRT. Just...ok. I spoke with my doctor and apparently my cream is maxed out dosage-wise. He said I could stay on it or try the Vivelle dot patch. Has anyone made that switch and liked it? Or something similar?
