Hormonal acne

I started tret yesterday. I’ve had acne since I was 12 and I’m now 20 and still have it. I’m pretty sure my acne is hormonal as it flares up when I’m stressed and on my last week of my birth control pack. Has anyone had any success using tret for hormonal acne? Any product or routine recommendations would be nice as well. Thank you!
